Plant Gallery
Wildflowers offer a very different challenge to wildlife photography. While they don’t move, capturing them at their best still relies on careful observation, the right light, and finding plants growing in locations that suit my style of photography. I particularly enjoy working with soft foregrounds and backgrounds to create simple, natural images that reflect the environment each species grows in.
Over the years I’ve spent time exploring a wide range of habitats in search of both common and more specialised wildflowers. The images in this gallery focus on species found closer to home, particularly across North Wales and surrounding areas.
I hope you enjoy viewing these images as much as I’ve enjoyed finding and photographing these often overlooked but incredibly beautiful plants.
