October Nature Must-sees! 2025

This month a fungus and fruit and a spider take are the focus of our monthly must-sees. With Autumn in full swing, you are encouraged to seek out the stunning Fly Agaric mushroom, perhaps the most iconic of all. Also, look for the fruits of the Blackthorn (Sloes), and check your garden for a common spider.

This month, we’re celebrating the Jewel of Spring – the stunning Pearl-bordered Fritillary, a delicate and fast-declining butterfly that’s a real treat for early-season wildlife watchers. But that’s not all we have birds, flowers and more insects too.

March Must-sess! 2025

We look at three species to seek out this month whilst out and about on your walks and wildlife wanderings, Common Orange Lichen, Stinking Hellebore and Amber Jelly.

In search of the Midnight Mushrooms

I go looking for a common species of mushroom in Eryri (Snowdonia) National Park at night, because this mushroom totally transform under the cover of darkness.

June Nature Must-sees! 2025

This month we are keeping an eye out for some species close to home, in fact two in the garden and 2 more in urban areas. Japanese Rose, Red Valerian, Mint Moth and Elephant Hawk-moth are giving a pink-purple feel to this months video.

Wild Day in the Rhinogs – Walks & Wildlife 🌿🐦

​In the first episode, I head into the wild and rugged Rhinog mountains in Snowdonia for a day of hiking, exploring, and soaking up the stunning scenery. I encounter fascinating wildlife including Dipper, beautiful lichens, and an unexpected meeting with some mountain goats.​

Autumn Lady's-tresses (Spiranthes spiralis)

In this video I take a look at one our late flowering orchid species here in the UK. Filmed on a windy day in Flintshire, North Wales in August 2023, we take a look at this stunning little flower and where it occurs.
