Winter Wildlife walk at Porth Nobla, Anglesey

What a joy is was to get back out with the camera and to go and look for some interesting species. 2025 did not pan out as expected and the second half of the year was very limiting in getting out. So after weeks of grey skies, wind and rain I spent the day exploring Porth Nobla over on Anglesey, North Wales.

This is the second of this series of videos, the Walks & Wildlife series.

Despite it being winter, there’s plenty to discover. Along the way I take time to admire some fascinating lichens clinging to the rocks, spot winter-flowering plants, and explore the rich life of the shoreline. Birdlife is a real highlight in this episode, with sightings of Curlew, Purple Sandpiper, Ringed Plover, and more as they forage along the coast.

We also turn our attention to the intertidal zone, where a variety of seaweeds and molluscs reveal just how much life thrives between the tides.

If you enjoy slow, mindful walks, coastal scenery, and learning more about the natural world, this video is for you.

Don’t forget to like, subscribe, and let me know in the comments what wildlife you’ve spotted recently! Dave
