Autumn Foraging (North Wales - Anglesey)

2026 - Sun 23rd Aug

Autumn is simply our favourite time of year here at Discover the Wild, not only is it the mushroom season but the hedges and woodlands are groaning under the weight of their own fruit. This is the time of year to get to know you Elder from your Rowan, your Sloes from your Damsons and your Raspberries from your Japanese Wineberry!

Of course the added benefit of going on a walk for berries in the autumn means you are likely to encounter mushrooms along the way, so not only could you be picking a basket full of ripe juicy berries but you could be lucky enough to find mushrooms like the Chanterelle or even Porcini.

The walk is easy going and we will be stopping often to look at the wealth of botanicals on offer at this time of year.
