Late Winter Foraging (North Wales)

2025 - Sun 23rd February

This late winter foraging event will look at some of the fascinating plants and fungi that are out at this time of year. Many think that the winter period can be quiet for foraging but in fact this time of year can be incredibly productive as many plants start to produce the lush vibrant green leaves ready for spring flowers.

Even some fungi can be prodcutive at this time year too, and we will be searching for these more elusive species whils tlooking at the uses, folklore and ecology of many of our hedgerow and woodland plants.

You will be introduced how to forage safely and sustainably as well as learn about the law and foraging. You will gain an understanding of how to identify and use some of the commoner species of plants and fungi in the area and learn about their look-a-likes as well.

Places are limited on the event to 12 as to allow for a more relaxed, informal and personal experience for the event.
